The Klinger family

The daddy - Klinger

This stray kitty moved into my backyard in the fall of 2001.  We caught him, had him neutered, and returned him to the neighborhood in February 2002.  We believe he fathered two kittens in January 2002, before we had him neutered.  The mama is the long-haired tabby below.

We call him Klinger, because of his nose.

The mama - Miss Patouche

This stray kitty moved into my backyard very late in  2001. This picture was taken in early spring 2002, before she had the kittens and before she lost her winter fur.  She is pregnant in this picture.  The babies were born on 3/29/02.  We didn't know they survived until they started coming around to eat on 7/26/02.  We managed to catch her on 7/30/02 and had her spayed and returned her to the neighborhood.  She brings her two kittens around to eat.  The kittens are solid black.  We are trying to get a picture of them, but so far they run away whenever we get too close.

We call her Miss Patouche -- we believe a cat we rescued in August 2000 is her brother.  He now lives in the Austin area and is named Patouche.  We named her after her brother (lack of imagination).

Above -- Here's another picture of Miss Patouche Here are two pictures of her brother, Patouche, who lives down in the Austin area. Brother and sister? Looks like it, doesn't it? I guess he would be the kittens' uncle on the mother's side.
The uncle - Radar

This stray kitty moved into my backyard in the fall of 2001.  We haven't been able to catch him yet to have him neutered.   We believe he is Klinger's brother because they showed up at the same time and act like litter mates.   He has a white nose, white paws, and a white bib -- just like Klinger.

This picture was taken after we had been feeding him for awhile - he isn't really as large as he appears in this picture.  He stopped coming around to eat for several weeks after the two black kittens arrived, so he is thinner now.

We call him Radar, to go along with the MASH theme.  Radar is the uncle on the father's side.

Another picture of Radar.  These are not very good pictures of him.  But he won't let me get too close.  Of course, he doesn't mind eating my food . . .

He has white on his nose and chest just like Klinger does.

The kittens - "Tiny Babies"

If you look closely, you will see both of Miss Patouche's two kittens in this picture.  One of the kittens wandered off -- hopefully someone took him home.  We rescued the other one and he has been adopted and named Owen  The tiny babies were born at the end of March 2002.

This is Owen -- offspring of Klinger and Miss Patouche.
